Yanagida is cast out of his samurai clan. As an impoverished ronin, he now lives with his daughter Okinu in the city of Edo. When accused of theft, he must fight for his honor to protect them both. What begins as a quiet drama escalates into a furious revenge spectacle. Kazuya SHIRAISHI’s homage to classic Japanese samurai films impresses with dynamic camerawork.
