Johnny KITAGAWA (1931–2019) founded the talent agency Johnny & Associates in 1962. Rumors of sexual abuse were already circulating in the 1960s. The Japanese media and the judicial system remained silent. Megumi INMAN and Mobeen AZHAR’s BBC documentary brought the scandal to the public arena. Following the main screening, we also show the sequel: THE SHADOW OF A PREDATOR (Japan 2024, 23 min.).

About Megumi INMAN
インマン恵

Megumi INMAN was born in Tokyo in 1986 and grew up in Japan and England. She studied at the University of Edinburgh and made several documentaries for TV stations such as the BBC, Channel 4, and NHK. THE ORGANIC TERRORIST (2023) was her first feature-length documentary. She also works as a producer.
