Yoshimi ITAZU

Yoshimi ITAZU, born in Gifu in 1980, has worked for a various renowned Japanese animation studios, including Gallop, Madhouse, Production I.G, and Ghibli. He gained recognition for his work as a character designer for Keiichi HARA’s MISS HOKUSAI (2015 / NC ’16) and as a key animator on works such as Satoshi KON's PAPRIKA and Hayao MIYAZAKI's THE BOY AND THE HERON (2023). His directorial debut, the award-winning short film PIGTAILS (2015), was screened at Nippon Connection in 2016. His feature-length directorial debut, THE CONCIERGE (2023 / NC ’24), was produced by Production I.G.
