A boy lives with his mother in Northern Japan. Occasionally, he talks to his deceased father through a psychic, visits the circus and dreams of eloping with the married lady from next door. Twenty years later, as an adult, he shoots a film about his childhood and explores his past through the eyes of his younger self. Shuji TERAYAMA’s second feature film, based on his own collection of poems, is a surreal visual frenzy about memories and also a film about filmmaking.
